About The Project

This World Story Exchange project collaborated with two teachers and 26 sophomores at East Mecklenburg High School in Charlotte, North Carolina. The students learned photo and video skills before planning their stories and documenting with WSE cameras; then they wrote/recorded narrations and finally edited a 2-3 minute film using iMovie.

The students are enrolled in ESL classes (English as Second Language), and have recently arrived from 14 countries including Brazil, Cuba, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Venezuela, Eritrea, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Myanmar, Nepal, Syria, Thailand and Vietnam.
